Panna: Kankali Mata Shaktipeeth is a wonderful temple of Panna district. Here the statue of the mother lying down and breastfeeding the child is installed. In most of the temples, there are statues of the mother sitting or riding a lion. This Shaktipeeth is famous all around, people come from far and wide to see the mother. It is believed here that the sins of many births are washed away by just seeing the mother. A huge fair is organized in this Shaktipeeth twice a year during Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri. In which a crowd of devotees gather.
Statue of the mother in a lying posture
Maa Kankali Shaktipeeth is located in village Banauli via village Mohandra, about 90 km from Panna district. Here a crowd of devotees from far and wide gather to see the mother all 12 months of the year. Perhaps this will be a unique temple in itself, where there will be a statue of the mother in a lying posture, breastfeeding a child. Hundreds of devotees come every day to get a glimpse of the mother adorned with silver ornaments.
Wishes are fulfilled by just seeing her
Let us tell you that people from other districts including Damoh, Panna, Satna and Sagar reach Shaktipeeth to see the mother. There are many beliefs about this Shaktipeeth. One of these beliefs is that the wish of any devotee who sees the mother with a true heart is fulfilled. The statue of the mother has Ganesh ji on one side and the statue of Lord Shankar on the other side. There is no such statue of the mother anywhere else in the district.
Story of the establishment of the temple
The priest of the temple, Hakkan Das, told that “About hundreds of years ago, Rai Bandhu of Banauli village had a dream of the idol of the mother. This idol was found in the pond of the village nearby. Rai Bandhu went there and placed the idol on his buffalo and headed towards home and this idol is where the temple is built today. The buffalo stopped here and then even after lifting it a lot, the buffalo did not get up and the idol of the mother was established here. पन्ना का कंकाली माता शक्तिपीठ अपने आप में बेहद खास है. यहां माता की लेटी और बच्चे को स्तनपान कराती हुई प्रतिमा स्थापित है.
पन्ना: कंकाली माता शक्तिपीठ पन्ना जिले का अद्भुत मंदिर हैं. यहां माता की लेटी हुई शिशु को स्तनपान कराती प्रतिमा है. ज्यादातर मंदिरों में मां की बैठे हुए या फिर शेर पर सवार मूर्तियां होती हैं. इस शक्तिपीठ की चारों ओर ख्याति विद्यमान है, दूर-दूर से लोग माता के दर्शन करने आते हैं. यहां मान्यता है कि माता के दर्शन मात्र से जन्मों के पाप कट जाते हैं. इस शक्तिपीठ में साल में दो बार चैत्र और शारदीय नवरात्रि में विशाल मेले का आयोजन होता है. जिसमें भक्तों की भीड़ उमड़ती है.
लेटी हुई मुद्रा में माता की प्रतिमा
पन्ना जिले से लगभग 90 किलोमीटर दूर ग्राम मोहंद्रा से होते हुए ग्राम बनौली में मां कंकाली शक्तिपीठ स्थित है. यहां साल के 12 महीनें दूर-दराज से माता के दर्शन करने के लिए भक्तों की भीड़ उमड़ती है. शायद यह अपने आप में आकेला मंदिर होगा, जहां माता की लेटी हुई मुद्रा में शिशु को स्तनपान कराती हुई प्रतिमा होगी. चांदी के आभूषणों से सुसज्जित माता की एक झलक पाने के लिए सैकड़ों भक्त प्रतिदिन आते हैं.
दर्शन मात्र से पूरी होती है मनोकामना
बता दें कि दमोह, पन्ना, सतना और सागर सहित अन्य जिलों से लोग शक्तिपीठ में माता के दर्शन के लिए पहुंचते हैं. इस शक्तिपीठ को लेकर कई मान्यताएं हैं. इनमें से एक मान्यता है कि जो भी भक्त सच्चे मन से माता के दर्शन कर लेता है, उसकी मनोकामना पूरी हो जाती है. माता की प्रतिमा में एक तरफ गणेश जी और दूसरी तरफ शंकर भगवान की प्रतिमा बनी हुई है. माता की ऐसी प्रतिमा जिले में कहीं और नहीं है.
मंदिर की स्थापना की कहानी
मंदिर के पुजारी हक्कन दास ने बताया कि “आज से लगभग सैकड़ों बरस पहले माता की मूर्ति का सपना बनौली गांव के राय बंधु को आया था. यह प्रतिमा पास में बने गांव के तालाब में मिली थी. वहां पर राय बंधु जाकर प्रतिमा को अपने भैंसे पर रखकर घर की ओर चल दिए थे और यह प्रतिमा जहां आज मंदिर बना हुआ है. यहीं पर भैंसा आकर रुक गया और फिर बहुत उठाने पर भी भैंसा नहीं उठा और माता की मूर्ति यहीं पर स्थापित हो गई. जब से माता की मूर्ति यहीं पर स्थापित है फिर यहीं पर माता का सुंदर और भव्य मंदिर का निर्माण करवाया गया.”
