Maihar is a city situated in Satna District of Madhya Pradesh State. The name Maihar is created from the mixture of 2 words ‘Mai'(Mother)+ ‘Har'(Necklace). In line with the Hindu Mythology it’s aforementioned that once lord Shiva was roaming while carrying the body of mother divinity Sati, the necklace (har) of divinity Sati(Mai) fell down in Maihar, therefore people started calling its name Maihar. It is also considered as one of the 51 Shakti Peeth of goddess Parvati. Dotted with numerous holy sites dedicated to almost all the gods, goddesses and deities of Hindu religion, India is famed for providing much-looked-for respite from troubled self and rushed life of individuals. Inspired to take a pilgrimage gratifying their need to come under the refuge of God, they turn into devotees in one such place called as Maihar in Madhya Pradesh. Located in district of Satna, Maihar is a city associated with the Goddess Shakti, also known as Sharda Devi. On Trikut Hills, even 1063 steps to the hilltop to visit sculpture of Sharda Devi and Lord Narsingh do not stop pilgrims to consider the endurance and take the climb. Another mode of reaching the temple is ropeway. Developed in 2009, it facilitates the pilgrims short with vacation or restricted by physical ailments.
मैहर मध्य प्रदेश राज्य के सतना जिले में स्थित एक शहर है। मैहर नाम दो शब्दों ‘माई’ (माँ) + ‘हर’ (हार) के मिश्रण से बना है। हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, एक बार भगवान शिव देवी सती के शव को लेकर घूम रहे थे, देवी सती (माई) का हार (हर) मैहर में गिर गया, इसलिए लोगों ने इसका नाम मैहर रखना शुरू कर दिया। इसे देवी पार्वती के 51 शक्तिपीठों में से एक माना जाता है। हिंदू धर्म के लगभग सभी देवी-देवताओं को समर्पित कई पवित्र स्थलों से युक्त, भारत लोगों को परेशान आत्म और भागदौड़ भरी जिंदगी से बहुत-बहुत राहत प्रदान करने के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। भगवान की शरण में आने की इच्छा को पूरा करने के लिए तीर्थ यात्रा करने के लिए प्रेरित होकर, वे मध्य प्रदेश के मैहर नामक एक स्थान पर भक्त बन जाते हैं। सतना जिले में स्थित, मैहर देवी शक्ति से जुड़ा एक शहर है, जिसे शारदा देवी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। त्रिकूट पहाड़ियों पर, शारदा देवी और भगवान नरसिंह की मूर्ति के दर्शन के लिए पहाड़ी की चोटी पर 1063 सीढ़ियाँ भी तीर्थयात्रियों को धीरज रखने और चढ़ाई करने से नहीं रोकती हैं। मंदिर तक पहुँचने का एक और तरीका रोपवे है। 2009 में विकसित, यह तीर्थयात्रियों को छुट्टी की कमी या शारीरिक बीमारियों से पीड़ित होने की सुविधा प्रदान करता है।
